This publication by the Feminist Health Care Research Group presents the research conducted by its two current members, Julia Bonn and Inga Zimprich, on the Health Movement. This movement emerged at the intersection of second-wave feminism and the squatters’ movement in Berlin during the 1970s and 80s. The research culminated in an exhibition during which the group offered self-examination workshops, radical feminist therapies, and readymade of the Health Movement’s forms of action. Visual and textual archival materials are included in this zine, along with interviews with key figures in the movement.
Founded in 2015 in Germany, the Feminist Health Care Research Group currently consists of Julia Bonn, an artist, mother, and bodywork practitioner, and Inga Zimprich, an artist, mother, caregiver, and curator. Defined as an artistic project, FHCRG develops exhibitions, workshops, and publishes fanzines.
“FHCRG questions the internalized ableist concept of productivity that is rewarded in the art field. In their practice FHCRG aims to develop self-empowering feminist perspective on healthcare.”
